Cheese Making
Watch Us Make Cheese
On site, we produce Cheddar, Monterey Jack, and fresh cheese curds, along with frozen curds made for deep frying. Our cheesemakers work right inside the building, and depending on the time of day, you can watch the process through the viewing windows. From curd cutting to stirring and molding, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how our cheese is made fresh. It’s all part of the experience and one of the things that makes a visit to September Farm more than just a stop, but something you can see, smell, and enjoy.

Cheese production starts with pasteurizing milk, adding starter cultures and rennet to form curds, which are cut, cooked, and pressed into blocks, then aged for flavor.
